It seems all app uses local database to get schedule timing. I am using server as the app will be much smaller and for upload.

- tried on Sony window. Takes 25 sec to load schedule time. And most time fails.

- tries on Mac white. Takes 3 sec to load time. Upload to google. Test train A and C.

- there is no feedback from existing users. I am worried that my latest version does not serve them well.

A mta server

Most developer focuses on app coding. To create a server to talk to mta is a taxing work. It does not pay for serving only one app.

Create a bus time server that talk to mta. Open it to all developers. Only charge developers who exceed certain volume. It will reduce the users. Or use it to brand itself.

Unlimited Internet. And cheap computing power. Helps these developers.

But is it fast enough?

Get gtfs data. Put in database. Answer queries.

Provide schedule and live data. Provide notification.

It seems that people cares about train delay. A wait without knowing what is happening.

I have to add delay info in my mrt app. Add it in the station page and favorite page.

Release of widget advertising

On 020513, just release widget advertising with only sg mosquito lamp. It is a worrying trend as dengue hits 500 a week last month. I know the value of the lamp. It is new but it is effective.

Morning view is about 1000. Hopefully public will get one and reduce mosquito bites.

I hope users can accept it. I will monitor it for 2 weeks. May open for all to advertise but requires a registration fee of $25.

No way to fight google. I can only serve area where she is not interested in at the moment. It looks like location based advertising is growing in China and UK. Can I offer one that let business looks for customer in or near all Singapore universities?

I will need a sale person. :)
